About Vasilikos Mansion
The legacy that keeps on living
Vasilikos Mansion is one of the last remaining 17th–18th century Captain’s houses in Lindos, a rare architectural legacy set along the village’s historic Golden Mile. Built by a Lindian sea captain during a time when maritime trade brought prosperity to the island, the mansion reflects the distinctive character of traditional Lindian homes—defined by thick stone walls, arched passages, shaded courtyards, and elevated banga beds that formed the heart of domestic life.
Carefully restored in recent years, Vasilikos preserves its historic integrity while introducing discreet modern comforts. Original materials such as polished koklakia river pebble floors, lime-plastered walls, handmade tiles, and traditional wood furnishings remain central to the home’s identity, allowing guests and visitors to experience the architecture much as it would have been centuries ago.
Behind its historic façade, the mansion opens to a sequence of quiet courtyards and one of the largest private gardens in Lindos, creating a rare sense of space and privacy within the village. Just steps from Lindos Square and the path leading to the Acropolis, Vasilikos remains both deeply connected to the rhythm of the village and quietly removed from it.
Today, Vasilikos Mansion functions as a living heritage estate, offering carefully curated experiences including luxury suites, intimate ceremonies, private chef suppers, art exhibitions, and cultural gatherings. Availability is intentionally limited, ensuring that the property’s character, authenticity, and tranquility are preserved.
More than a place to stay or visit, Vasilikos Mansion is a preserved piece of Lindian history—shared thoughtfully and experienced privately.
Vasilikos is a family-kept heritage home shaped by centuries of life and care. Every stone, courtyard, and carved doorway carries its history, inviting those who enter to connect with the past, create new stories, and awaken imagination.
